Role Overview

The electronics procurement includes:

A large portfolio of EEE parts
Bare PCB designed by ASL
Assembled PCB designed by ASL

As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to identify the best suppliers, develop the relationship & good practice with them and set up the relevant contractual frame.

In addition, you will be a key stakeholder in the space qualifications of both EEE parts & PCB

Key Activities

You have a strong Electronics knowledge and can handle first line technical discussions with the suppliers

You set up the adequate procurement strategy with EEE manufacturer, bare PCB & PCBA partners (price, satefy stock, quality, Consignment stock, frame agreements, …..)

You play a key role (along with Engineering and Quality) in the space qualification of the EEE components (Radiation test, constructional analysis, …) and in the mounting qualification for each PCB designs. You ensure EEE parts and PCB are delivered with the required Certificate of conformance and traceability

You are a key link between engineering and industrialization team, gather and challenge production need

You regularly perform analysis of your complete portfolio:
- To identify risks & opportunities
- To take decisions

You perform-up supplier audit:
- Financial & background check
- Workload/Capacity check

As a key member of the department, you share your knowledge and experience with the rest of the staff, and play an active role in the training of the New Joiners,

You prepare Aerospacelab’s production ramp-up by strengthening the Supply Chain for the portfolio you handle.

Must have

Technical degree or equivalent by experience (Ex: Engineering, Bachelor in electronics, …)
5-10 years of experience with
A strong experience in electronic industry
Demonstrated experience in procurement
Fluent in English
Strong negotiation skills
Solution oriented & agile mindset
Autonomous & independent
