Role Overview
A Solution Engineer, also known as a Pre-sales Engineer, is working closely with sales teams to help demonstrate and explain the technical aspects of a product or service to potential customers. The primary goal is to understand the customer’s needs, challenges, and requirements and then propose a tailored solution that effectively addresses those needs in collaboration with development engineering teams.
The SE is self-motivated and passionate about ensuring quality and customer happiness.
Duties
- Working as part of the Solutions Engineering team in a Sales / Solutions Engineer role
- Participating in Sales calls along account executives to inform customers of the technical capabilities and aspects of Aerospacelab’s products
- Performing feasibility assessments for potential customer missions, including requirements feasibility, architecture definition, and budgets consolidation( mass, power, link, DeltaV, AOCS, etc).
- Development of technical, programmatic and financial proposals in support of sales
- Developing and conducting presentations in support of Sales efforts
- Working alongside and with product and engineering teams to develop future offerings for customers
- Some travel (~5-10%) to various customers, subsidiaries and key events and conferences
